Ian Whillock is a multimedia composer. His works explore conceptual spaces through aesthetic and technical experimentation. He primarily focuses on sound, often incorporating light, video, performance, and other mediums.

His works have been performed across the USA, Europe, South America, Australia, and Asia. Ian has collaborated with performers including HanatsuMIROIR, [Switch~ Ensemble], Ensemble Suono Giallo, Dana Jessen, Barbara Lündenberg, Mia Elezović and others. He has been recognized by numerous awards including the Xenakis International Electroacoustic Competition (GR), New Vision (USA), One Hit To Earth (PL), Isa Shima (JP), Young Lion*ess of Acousmatic Music (AT), the Ida M. Vreeland Award (USA) and others. He works also as an audio engineer; in genres from jazz, rock, experimental electronic, electroacoustic to contemporary classical. Previously, Ian was teaching Audio Technology at the Art Institute of Austin, Texas.

He currently lives in Hamburg, Germany.
